Our Mission

The primary concern of this foundation is to attract excellent physicians to the Lima/Allen County area.

What we Do

We offer student loans to medical students planning to practice at one of the three hospitals in Lima / Allen County, Ohio. All loans are given without regard to sex, race, color, creed, or national origin.

The Medical Education Foundation of the Academy of Medicine of Lima and Allen County, Ohio was formed as the result of a collaboration between local physicians. The goal is to attract excellent physicians to Lima/Allen County to ensure ongoing quality healthcare for our community for generations to come.

Allen County, Ohio is home to many townships, villages and communities. As the county seat, Lima, Ohio is home to more than 42,000 residents and numerous family friendly activities, such as museums, parks and beautiful golf courses. Lima is located in close proximity to I-75 and Highway 30, providing residents with quick and easy access to some of the largest travel corridors in the region. Lima is also a short drive from larger metropolitan areas such as Toledo, Columbus, Cleveland and Dayton.
